T O P I C R E V I E Whunnyb143I'm looking for other Astrologers who have thoroughly studied the differences between their sidereal and tropical placements to fully understand how they differ or relate and why one is more or less accurate than yhe other.(I am an Aries Sun,Pisces Moon Leo Rising in tropical, Pisces Sun, Aqua Moon and Cancer Rising in sidereal with the Skydram/Galactic Equator ayanamsha. With Fagan/Bradley my Ascendant becomes 0° Leo and right now I am experimenting with the Cancer rising. For one. My Sun is conjunct Venus in the 8th house (in almost all house systems and will forever fit me the best. It's also sextile Jupiter exact so I can easily relate to the 9th house placement)In Aries, I would say it only began to really apply to me in my early adulthood. Where progeessed Venus is in sidereal Aries. As a teen and overall, Pisces Venus fits me the best for plent reasons.... I can go into detail but I want to start a discussion and anyone feel free to ask me anythingcapricorncherisctyI have but not in full depth. I just like to learn about the nakshatras of my sidereal chart in Jyotish astrology. They use those in India. I must say that the nakshatra readings for my sidereal chart are a lot more truthful to me than my tropical chart readings. But I am still cautious about moving to another chart reading system, simply because there is not much information on the other systems online and most of the ones that are present are in different languages I don't speak. I mainly stick to my tropical chart because it is just more convenient. What would you like to discuss? Dumuzii have, just as much as my tropical charti think they ultimately paint the same picture, but it's like using runes and tarot to divine the same fate, same person ultimatelyi go from a libra rising/venus/south nkde (venus and south node conjunct ascendant) , aries moon (conjunct descendant/northnode) , and virgo sun in tropical to a leo sun (magha), pisces moon (revati, rahu is also revati) , virgo rising/venus/south node (rising and south node in chitra venus in hasta) but ultimately where the changes are there's some kind of balance to make up for the missing energyto me it seems like sidereal has more depth because both systems can be used to read itlahiri is better for this btw Dumuzi quote:Originally posted by capricorncheriscty:I have but not in full depth. What would you like to discuss?
i think they ultimately paint the same picture, but it's like using runes and tarot to divine the same fate, same person ultimately
i go from a libra rising/venus/south nkde (venus and south node conjunct ascendant) , aries moon (conjunct descendant/northnode) , and virgo sun in tropical to a leo sun (magha), pisces moon (revati, rahu is also revati) , virgo rising/venus/south node (rising and south node in chitra venus in hasta) but ultimately where the changes are there's some kind of balance to make up for the missing energy
to me it seems like sidereal has more depth because both systems can be used to read it
lahiri is better for this btw

ive noticed even people ive met who hate vedic astrology otherwise because they like their tropical placements always relate well to their moon nakshatra

I have heard that about Lahiri but with little info to backup and I've gotten the best results from Skydram
